We spent the weekend in the cities. It was nice to “get away” as a family and spend some time in the city.
Here were the highlights-
Katie took the kids to SeaLife at the Mall of America. Nick & I met them after. We walked around together and decided we should visit the American Girl store one last time. It’s set to close March 20th and we have had some fun memories there. Well, Lauren was coming off of a sugar high and within 30 feet of walking in the door she was bouncing around and rolled her ankle. Because she also can be dramatic when embarrassed when she gets hurt we weren’t sure if she broke her ankle or nothing was wrong. Katie gave her piggy backs and it actually was swollen… so our last hurrah at American Girl didn’t turn out the way we anticipated.
In the MOA Rotunda, they had a DJ and yard games. The kids had fun with Jenga.
Katie then took the kids to “Mary Poppins” in the theater and Nick & I headed to Shakopee to a comedy club and dinner. We had fun just hanging out with each other. 🙂
All in all it was a nice weekend, good weather after that Polar Vortex, and just refreshing to be out of the house!!
